As part of the welfare team at Wadham College, I mainly spend my time supporting our student body with listening, signposting and guidance. I provide a safe space to explore all kinds of issues, and aim to be an ally in all sorts of ways. And of course I am a proud LGBT+ ally, seeking to ensure that every member of College feels valued, welcomed and accepted. Evidence suggests that some people in the LGBT+ community may experience increased risk of developing mental health issues. I am passionate about working together in our community to help reduce stigma and increase diversity and equality. Diversity isn’t just the right thing to do – it benefits our community in many ways.
