Update on the Staff Experience Survey 2020
A preferred survey supplier has been selected and we are revising the specification to permit greater flexibility given uncertainties over the pandemic and future requirements for Athena SWAN.
In view of the extraordinary impact of COVID-19 on all University staff and operations, the EDU has agreed, in consultation with the Director of HR, Julian Duxfield, that it would be inappropriate to carry out the survey during Trinity term.
We are continually monitoring the ongoing situation in order to identify an optimum timetable for the survey. In the meantime, the EDU will continue to carry out all necessary survey planning activities including collating departments’ local questions. Departments should submit their requests to their divisional E&D contact by the end of May, if possible.
We are mindful that departments applying for Silver awards rely on survey data to demonstrate impact and we will continue to monitor the situation with Athena SWAN very carefully. Please be assured that the timing of applications will be an important consideration in agreeing a date for the running of the survey.
