Pronouns: she/her
I am deeply passionate about supporting colleagues and students to be who they truly are, to feel safe, and to feel fully included in our community, regardless of their background, race, gender identity or sexual orientation. In my role as Head of HR in the Computer Science Department, a core part of my work is fostering an environment where people feel respected, supported and able to thrive — both personally and professionally.
For me, being an ally means actively working to create a culture where everyone can participate fully without fear of judgement or exclusion. I want to contribute to a workplace where people feel seen, valued and respected. This involves listening, learning, speaking up, and using my position to influence positive change, so that everyone feels safe and comfortable bringing their full selves to work.
If, through visible allyship and genuine support, I can help even one person feel more confident and accepted here in Oxford, that would be incredibly meaningful to me.
