Pronouns: she/her
I am a departmental lecturer at the African Studies Centre. My research sits at the intersection of violence, memory, trauma and justice, with a focus on post-genocide Rwanda and the Great Lakes Region. I have been active in race and equality matters on various committees across the University. I am passionate about bringing about structural change concerning race and equality at Oxford so that everyone feels encouraged and comfortable speaking about issues of ‘whiteness’ and discrimination. As a member of the Race Equality Task Force I hope to support the University’s activities in making Oxford a more inclusive and progressive place.
