The University’s participation in the Race Equality Charter provides us with a framework for analysis and results in a comprehensive action plan to promote race equality. Our current priorities include increasing the proportion of BME staff in academic and professional and support roles, increasing the representation of BME staff in leadership and decision-making, continuing to increase the proportion of BME undergraduate students, and improving the overall experience of BME students.
