EDI training, activities and staff networks

EDI training

There are several online EDI-related training courses that we strongly encourage all staff to take, available on the Training page of the Equality and Diversity Unit (EDU) website. You will need your Single Sign-On to access these courses.

Equality and Diversity briefing: This course introduces you to what equality and diversity mean and why they are important both to the University and to you as an individual – including your rights and responsibilities, and how to ensure that equality and diversity are embedded in your work.

Implicit bias in the workplace: This short course introduces the topic of implicit bias and how it might manifest itself in our behaviour, and provides practical tips and reflections to help you reduce the risk of bias in your own work.

Tackling race bias at work: The course looks at the ongoing influence of racism in the workplace and what you can do to help tackle racism and race bias.

Challenging behaviour – dealing with bullying and harassment in the workplace: The course is designed to equip you to recognise, respond and put a stop to bullying and harassment at work.

Stay up-to-date with EDI activity at the University

Sign up to the EDI Hub Bulletin, sent fortnightly via email during term time, which includes new projects and initiatives, events and opportunities, as well as profiles of staff and students doing inspiring work on EDI.

EDI Staff Networks

The Equality and Diversity Unit supports a number of staff networks, which provide an opportunity to get to know people with a shared interest, as well as to work with the University to celebrate and promote greater inclusion for minority groups. To find out more, see the links below:
