In my role I am responsible for all forms of internal and external communication for the Department of Politics and International Relations. I wanted to become an LGBT+ role model to make sure colleagues know I am approachable and supportive should they need someone to talk to. I also think that visibility as an LGBT person is really important, both to other members of the community and to allies.
