I have worked at the University of Oxford since 2004, and in an equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) role since 2014. My EDI role focusses on embedding and sharing best practice; and provision and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to provide evidence for EDI action plans and equality awards. The Stonewall Allies training helped me understand and challenge my biases and assumptions, it gave me guidance and tools to work towards providing an open and inclusive environment. Being an Ally is important to me, I want colleagues and friends to know that I will support them in whatever way that I can. I will always do everything I can to conduct myself respectfully and authentically, and I encourage others around me to do the same.
