When you work in Admissions and Recruitment for a programme which is 94% international, one of the best bits of the job is getting to meet and connect with so many interesting, diverse and inspiring individuals.
I have always considered myself to be an LGBT+ Ally, just quietly getting on with it. However, a couple of recent interactions have made me come to realise that not only does this mean people might not actually know you are there, sometimes other people need a voice when they don’t feel comfortable speaking up themselves. I knew I needed to be more visible, more vocal and even more supportive.
I want everyone to feel safe, included and most importantly heard. I’m proud of what has been achieved at the Business School in recent years, but we need to do so much more. I plan to keep listening and learning, to help take us even further forward.
