Thanks to countless students and staff across the University, much has been achieved since the work of the Race Equality Taskforce and the University’s adoption of its Race Equality Strategy. And we still have much more to do. Race Equality Week (5 to 11 February) is an occasion to reflect on our progress and renew our commitments. The 2024 theme asks us to #ListenActChange. This provides us with an opportunity to build on our momentum from last year to achieve even more this year.
Celebrating our bronze renewal
We are pleased to share that Oxford has successfully renewed its institutional Race Equality Charter award – one of the objectives set out in the Race Equality Strategy. Beginning with the work of the Race Equality Taskforce, we have listened to voices from across our collegiate University and will continue doing so as we take actions for change.
Bringing the Race Equality Strategy to Life
Teams across the University have been hard at work advancing the Race Equality Strategy. To mark the week, staff and students reflect on why race equality matters, share how they are bringing the Race Equality Strategy to life and what each of us can do to join these efforts to #ListenActChange in 2024.
